Released by: Universal Music Indonesia
The last album of Sum 41 Underclass Hero was released in 2007 ago, so the album Screaming Bloody Murder is certainly been eagerly awaited by fans of Sum 41. This is evidenced by the successful debut album is in position 9 Canadian album charts at the same time perfecting Sum 41′s record of always putting his album on the Top 10Canadian album charts.
Looking further into the album has 14 tracks, the Screaming Bloody Murder produced by the vocalist Deryck Whibley.
This is the second time Deryck Sum 41 produce an album after the previous album Underclass Hero he also acted as producer and the result is very satisfying because the album managed to stay in the top Canadian album charts. The album opens with a song called Reason To Believe “which has a long intro but it feels very fit as an album opener. In this song Sum 41 managed to play the mood of the listener with tempo variations that exist in this song. 2nd track is a song called “Screaming Bloody Murder as well as the first single from this album.Selection of this song as the first single is perfect for this song very breath Sum 41 with a fast tempo, shouts Deryck and slick guitar solo in the bridge make this track perfect. The next track is Skumfuk and Time for You to Go, the song is still characterized by Sum 41 to the accompaniment of distorted guitar and fast drumming. Track 5 is a song entitled to Jessica Kill which is one of the best song of this album. Opened by the melodic guitar song by Tom Thucker and was greeted by a fast-tempo drumming by Steve Jocz, the best part of this song are on the bridge, filled by the guitar with tremolo technique by Tom. The next track What Am I to Say that have been defined as a single to 2 for this album. The selection is quite appropriate because the melody in this song is quite catchy and has a different breath with their first single. The next song is the Holy Image of Lies who still had the characteristics of Sum 41 with a fast tempo and the never ending guitar distortion from the beginning to the end of the song. The next track is Sick of Everything is quite interesting because the first verse in this song is reminiscent of songs from My Chemical Romance to play piano with staccato technique.
Furthermore, there is Happiness Machines, a track which has a very catchy bass line. The next song is Crash, if you have The Only Exception Paramore Sum 41 will have Crash. The song is dominated by the sound of this piano and acoustic guitar combined with the sweet voice that sounded Deryck smooth in this song but the 2 songs next Blood In My Eyes and Baby, You Do not Want to Know again lift our mood with a quick tempo. The next track is Back Where I Belong, again Tom Thucker showed skill as a good lead guitar melody with a game that enough attention but the reff on this song slightly reminiscent of one of the songs from Sum 41. The album is closed by a song called Exit Song. Songs with 1:43 duration is intended as an outro with a lyric that describes the separation. A track is perfect as an album cover.
Overall, this album still offers the same flavor with Sum 41 albums before but that’s exactly what we expect from one of the best metal bands in the world. This album also received good reviews and Absolute Punk gave a 76% to this album,
Screaming Bloody Murder. For the Sum 41 I’m sure not to miss this album and for you music fans, this album will surely be one of the best albums in 2011, this so there’s no reason to miss this one album!
